Line up a few photos a couple of years apart and the change is hard to unsee: the chin has drifted to one side, one cheek sits lower or fuller than the other, the smile has gone slightly off-level. The bite has shifted too — a crossbite that wasn’t there before, or a gap that won’t close. Often there’s no pain at all.
